"Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.”

Four years ago, we as people of God were inspired by this verse to take a step of faith by laying the foundations to build the new Ministry Center in Alameda. This year, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Ministry Center which we expect to complete in 2011. This was possible because hundreds from our church congregation answered God’s call to further His vision by praying faithfully and giving sacrificially.
God blesses those who act by faith. Consider the biblical examples of Noah building the ark, Abraham leaving the Ur of Chaldees, and Nehemiah rebuilding the walls for Jerusalem - just to name a few. Ultimately, these men’s acts of faith not only reaped blessings for themselves but they also changed and developed the lives of many in their own generation and generations to come for the glory of God.
Likewise, with each historic step of faith that our church has taken in obedience to God, He has demonstrated His faithfulness and providence time and time again. From Pastor Sen Wong starting our church in Oakland, to our move to San Leandro, to the purchase of land and starting the worship service and educational ministries in Alameda, God has blessed us with tremendous spiritual and numerical growth. It is now our turn to once again respond to God’s call in taking another step of faith to further His kingdom. It’s time for action!

許多年前，我們這些神的子民藉著這節經文的啟示，憑著信心邁出了建造新的事工中心的第一步，在阿拉米達市，我們為建堂做了前期準備工作。今年，我們慶祝了新事工中心的奠基，並期待著事工中心於2011年竣工。這個目標得以實現，是因著教會裡數以百計的會眾回應了神的呼召，並藉著信實的禱告和無私的奉獻使神的異象得以擴展。
神祝福那些憑著信心而行的人。聯想到聖經裡記載的那些屬神之人的例子，如挪亞建造方舟；亞伯拉罕離開迦勒底的吾珥；尼希米重建耶路撒冷的城牆等等---僅列舉幾個而已。最終，這些人憑著信心而行的舉動，不但使神的祝福臨到他們，而且改變和影響了他們的世世代代，使神得著榮耀。
同樣，借鑒史上前輩憑著信心邁出步伐的例子，我們的教會也在神面前踏出順服的一步，他已經一次又一次地向我們彰顯了他的信實以及讓我們看到了他對我們的供給。自從Sen Wong牧師在屋崙創建此教會開始，然後到我們搬遷至現址，再到在阿拉米達購買地皮，以及開始敬拜和開展教育事工至今，神已經在屬靈層面上以及人數的增長上大大地祝福了我們。現在再次到了我們回應主的呼召的時刻了，我們在主的國度裡憑著信心要再跨越一步。讓我們行動吧！
